Degani Amarone della Valpolicella Classico La Rosta 2019
A century-old family recipe, still made by the same Degani hands in Marano di Valpolicella.
Grape Varietals & Region: 40% Corvina, 30% Rondinella, 25% Corvinone and 5% other native varieties, from Fratelli Degani's vineyards in Valpolicella Classico, Veneto, Italy.
Taste Profile: A noble character. Intense garnet red. Clear, fresh nose of berries, prunes, vanilla and liquorice. Rich, full-bodied and firm, well-structured and beautifully balanced with soft tannins and a velvety mouthfeel. Ripe plum and cherry flavours with notes of raisins, chocolate, almond, liquorice and pepper spice.
Winemaking Process: The best bunches are hand-picked and laid flat in wooden boxes to dry for 3-4 months, concentrating sugars by 25-30%. Crushed in January, fermented over 25-30 days, then matured in barriques for 24-36 months before refining several months in bottle.
Winemaker: Fratelli Degani was founded in 1900 as a small winery producing wine for personal use. In 1980, Sante Degani passed the estate to his brother Angelo and nephew Aldo, and by 1996 Degani wines were appearing in the world's prestigious guides. Today Aldo and Luca Degani handle the winemaking while Zeno Degani tends the vineyards, keeping to the same traditional, hands-on methods the family has used for over a century.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
