Viberti Langhe DOC Nebbiolo 2023
You wouldn't want to pass up on this elegant, soft Nebbiolo — a Barolo-quality wine that simply didn't fit the Barolo rulebook.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Nebbiolo, produced from vineyards with more westerly exposures within the Barolo zone of the Langhe Nebbiolo DOC, Piedmont, Italy.
Taste Profile: Medium intensity ruby red, with aromas of ripe red fruits, strawberry and cherry. Soft tannin and great drinkability.
Winemaking Process: After destemming and crushing, maceration and alcoholic fermentation take place on the skins for 8 to 10 days in temperature-controlled steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation at controlled temperature, also in steel. The wine then ages for a year in 50-hectolitre wooden vats before returning to steel tanks to complete a further year of maturation.
Winemaker: The Viberti estate began in 1923, when Cavalier Antonio Viberti bought the Locanda del Buon Padre in Vergne and started making wine in its basement for his guests, bottling the first label in 1927. His son Giovanni expanded the property from 1968, acquiring land across Roero and the Monforte d'Alba side of Langhe, including a parcel on the Bussia hill — one of the first recognised Barolo crus since 1961. Today the third generation, grandson Claudio, runs the 20-hectare estate, bringing low yields and eco-sustainable practices to a family tradition now in its second century.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
