Ascheri Gavi di Gavi "Cristina Ascheri" DOCG 2025
Named for Matteo Ascheri's mother, Cristina — fresh and fragrant, the house's go-to aperitif white.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Cortese, a communal blend from various vineyards across the Gavi region of Piedmont, Italy.
Taste Profile: Pale straw yellow with green tints. Lemon peel and grapefruit citrus on the nose, with hints of wild flowers and peach. Dominant lemon and grapefruit flavours on the palate, with soft layers of green apple, honeydew melon, almonds and minerals. Dry and pleasant, balanced by remarkable acidity, ending in a savoury finish.
Winemaking Process: Grapes are hand-picked and gently pressed, then fermented in temperature-regulated stainless steel vats for about 15 days at 18°C. The wine ages 4 months in stainless steel, followed by 2 further months in bottle.
Winemaker: Cantine Ascheri Giacomo has farmed the Langhe since 1880. This white wine range is named for and dedicated to Matteo Ascheri's mother, Cristina — bottled in the same minimal-intervention style the family applies across its reds.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
