From the Mosel's largest privately-owned, family-run estate — Pinot Noir that trades typical German austerity for slate-lit silk.
Grape Varietals & Region: Einstern is a single-varietal Pinot Noir from parcels marked by slate soils that lend the wine its elegant mineral and spicy edge, grown within Markus Molitor's expansive Mosel holdings.
Taste Profile: An intense, concentrated and charming bouquet of ripe, stewed cherry and red berry, intertwined with delicate toast and slate. Lush and silky on the palate — smooth and elegant yet refined and balanced, with intense, supple fruit structured by fine tannins and unmistakable Mosel freshness.
Winemaking Process: Aged for 18 months on its fine lees in French oak barrels.
Winemaker: Markus Molitor took control of his family's modest 1.5-hectare Mosel property at just 20 years old in 1984, the eighth generation of Molitors to farm the region. Through decades of strategic acquisition he built it into a 120-hectare estate spanning 15 top sites in Wehlen, Zeltingen-Rachtig and Bernkastel — the largest privately-owned, family-run winery on the Mosel. In 2015, three of his Auslese Rieslings scored a perfect 100 points from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, earning him the nickname 'Herr 300 Punkte.'

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
