Famille Hugel Pinot Noir 2023
A red wine that's about as Alsace, and as Pinot, as it gets.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Pinot Noir, exclusively hand-harvested from clay and limestone vineyards across a dozen of the most favoured localities in and around Riquewihr, Alsace, France.
Taste Profile: A bright ruby colour with a classic nose of little red fruits — cherry and red currant. The dry palate has soft, delicate tannins and juicy acidity, delivering young, easy, fruity flavours of red cherry, currant and raspberry with just a hint of earth.
Winemaking Process: Grapes are brought to the winery in small tubs, fully destemmed, and macerated for 6–7 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine matures in vats until bottling the following early summer, then ages further in Famille Hugel's cellars until ready for release.
Winemaker: Famille Hugel has grown grapes in Alsace since 1639, with the estate now run by the twelfth and thirteenth generations of the Hugel family from their base in Riquewihr. The family helped pioneer Alsace's tradition of naming wines by grape variety and championed the region's late-harvest styles, while maintaining a house style built on hand harvesting and minimal cellar intervention across their range.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
