VIK La Piu Belle Rosé 2022
Light and elegant, like a goddess — La Piu Belle is named after a deity revered by Millahue's indigenous people, whose name simply translates as “the most beautiful.”
Grape Varietals & Region: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Syrah, from the western-most, coolest sectors of VIK's vineyards in the Cachapoal Valley, Chile, which pick up a marked Pacific influence.
Taste Profile: Pale pink colour. Ripe red berries, graphite and floral notes of lavender and violet on the nose. Strawberry, raspberry and redcurrant carry through the palate with a hint of grapefruit citrus, passionfruit and ripe melon, all wrapped in a mouthwatering freshness and light texture, closing on a citrus zest finish.
Winemaking Process: Hand-harvested and sorted, then gently pressed. Ages just over 2 months total in new and used French oak barrels combined.
Winemaker: Viña VIK was founded in 2006 by Norwegian entrepreneur Alexander Vik and his wife Carrie, who spent years searching before settling on 4,300 hectares in the Millahue Valley — Mapuche for “place of gold” — within Chile's Cachapoal Valley. Chilean winemaker Cristián Vallejo, previously of Château Margaux, was brought in to oversee viticulture and continues to harvest by hand and ferment with native yeasts, while the estate's striking winery, designed by architect Smiljan Radic, mirrors the ambition behind the wine.
About the Label
VIK gave painter Javier de Aubeyzon a bottle of the wine and set him loose to bring La Piu Belle to life on canvas. A face came first — an ethereal, composite beauty drawn from features of women around the world — wrapped in bouquets that balance tenderness against intensity. The project took nearly two years, moving from canvas to hand-painted bottle to finished sleeve.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
