Spier "Creative Block 3" 2020
A Rhône-style blend from South Africa's oldest continuously producing wine farm.
Grape Varietals & Region: A Rhône-style blend of 93% Shiraz, 4% Mourvèdre and 3% Viognier, sourced from Groenekloof and Stellenbosch, South Africa.
Taste Profile: Subtle perfumed notes of violets, black cherry and mulberry, followed by spicy black pepper and fennel. A silky, rich mid-palate with concentrated fruit and dense, fine tannins, well-integrated oak and a lingering finish.
Winemaking Process: Hand-harvested grapes are destemmed to stainless steel tanks and fermented for up to two weeks, with free-run wine racked to barrel for malolactic fermentation and 16 months' maturation in 90% French and 10% American oak (50% first fill, 50% second fill). Each variety is fermented and matured separately, with the final blend determined by selective barrel tasting.
Winemaker: Spier is one of South Africa's oldest wine farms, established in 1692 in Stellenbosch. Restored and revitalised by Neil Joubert from 1965 and owned by the Enthoven family since 1993, the estate combines centuries of Cape Dutch heritage with a modern, sustainability-focused approach to winemaking.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
