A Gevrey-Chambertin that's very representative of its terroir.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Pinot Noir from Gevrey-Chambertin, Burgundy — a well-known appellation for firm, opulent styles, sitting at the northern end of the Côte de Nuits' great vineyard run.
Taste Profile: The style of a classic Gevrey-Chambertin: a beautiful violet colour, with cherry, blackberry and blueberry on the palate. The finish is spicy, accentuated by fine, elegant wood.
Winemaking Process: Aged in Merrain French oak barrels for 18 months, with new-oak percentages ranging from 25% to 100% depending on the appellation — the exact split for this cuvée isn't disclosed.
Winemaker: Maurice Gavignet is a family-owned domaine in Burgundy now in its fourth generation, founded by Honoré Gavignet, born in 1879, who worked at the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti until 1920 before settling in Nuits-Saint-Georges to establish his own estate. Best known for Pinot Noir from the Côte de Nuits, the domaine has expanded over the last decade onto the Côte de Beaune with vineyards in Monthelie, Santenay, Savigny-lès-Beaune and Pommard, growing into one of the region's most respected family names.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
