Fattoria I Veroni "Vigneto Quona" Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG 2020

Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Sangiovese from vineyards near the church of San Martino a Quona in Chianti Rufina — Tuscany's smallest and coolest Chianti subzone, where higher altitude (250–280m) and cooler nights give the wines a firmer, more mineral edge than warmer Chianti Classico. This parcel covers 2.79 hectares, planted at a dense 5,600 vines per hectare.
Taste Profile: Clear and intense purple-red. A very intense scent of blackberries and ripe red fruit, spice and tobacco aromas layered with a gentle touch of oak. Medium-to-full-bodied and silky on the palate, with balanced tannins and a long-lasting aftertaste.
Winemaking Process: Fermented with the skins at controlled temperature for approximately 20 days, then matured for 18 months in 5-hectolitre French oak barrels (50% new oak), with a further 10 months' fining in bottle.
Winemaker: Fattoria I Veroni farms its Sangiovese in the hills around San Martino a Quona, in the Chianti Rufina appellation — one of Chianti's smallest and least-known subzones, tucked into the hills northeast of Florence, where altitude and cooler nights are prized for structured, age-worthy Sangiovese rather than the riper style found further south.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
