Made by South Africa's first woman to release an eponymous wine range, from clay soils that changed everything.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Pinot Noir from the cool-climate Elgin Valley in South Africa, grown on clay-heavy soils that impart a unique minerality and depth to the wine.
Taste Profile: Red fruit aromas of cherries and raspberries, with a hint of smokiness and spice. Well-balanced on the palate, with silky tannins and a long, satisfying finish.
Winemaking Process: Grapes are hand-picked and sorted before a 5-day cold maceration, then fermented in small batches with wild yeast, with manual punch-downs and pump-overs for maximum extraction of flavour and colour. The wine ages 11 months in 100% French oak, 20% of it new.
Winemaker: Catherine Marshall graduated from Elsenburg College in 1991 and trained in Burgundy, St-Émilion, California, Oregon and Australia before founding her own label in 1997 — one of the first true boutique wineries in the Western Cape and the first eponymous range released by a woman winemaker in South Africa. In 2007, she committed to sourcing all her grapes from the cool climate of Elgin, where she continues to craft fresh, bright, terroir-driven wines.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
