Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Pinot Noir from a single vineyard site in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. BK Wines sources from tiny vineyards that express the unique characteristics inherent to those particular plots, where Brendon has great control over how the grapes are grown. The cool, elevated Adelaide Hills climate — with its long, slow ripening season — is tailor-made for a light, translucent style of Pinot Noir, and carbonic maceration draws out the very best of the variety's fragrant, aromatic character.
Taste Profile: Carbonic Pinot Noir is as translucent as garnet and as fresh as an onshore breeze, but as dense and weighted as a hot night on cool sands. On the nose, you get that signature pop of bubblegum and bright, juicy fruit. On the palate, it shifts gears — there's a powerful herbaceous undercurrent and a distinct lick of amaro bitterness that grounds the fruit and keeps it savoury. The process of carbonic maceration maintains freshness and creates a soft tannic profile — at its best, it's a beautifully refreshing take on Pinot Noir. Can be served at room temperature or slightly chilled. Perfect with thinly sliced duck, charcuterie, or mushroom dishes
Winemaking Process: Whole bunches are sealed in a large oak vat, allowing fermentation to start inside the intact berries — a process that unlocks a specific spectrum of aromatics you just don't get from standard winemaking. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered. The carbonic maceration process permits the majority of fermentation to occur inside the grape itself, preserving the natural freshness and fruit purity of the variety while building a seductively soft tannic structure

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
