Vietti Roero Arneis DOCG 2025
The grape that used to be blended away to make a "wine for mother-in-law" — until one man decided otherwise.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Arneis from the Roero region of Piedmont, Italy, hand-harvested and gently pressed before fermentation.
Taste Profile: Aromatic and complex, with notes of white peach, apricot and a hint of almond. Fresh and vibrant on the palate, with crisp acidity and a clean finish.
Winemaking Process: Grapes undergo soft pressing before fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The wine then ages on its lees for a few months before bottling.
Winemaker: Vietti was founded in 1873 in Castiglione Falletto, at the heart of the Barolo zone. In 1952, Luciana Vietti married winemaker and art connoisseur Alfredo Currado, whose innovations shaped the estate for decades. In 1967, when Roero's Arneis vines were being abandoned or blended into a throwaway pink wine locals called "a mother-in-law wine," Currado was the first to vinify it as a serious single-varietal white, single-handedly reviving the grape. The estate passed to the American Krause family in 2016, but its reputation as one of Piedmont's leading addresses remains undiminished.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
