Luca G-Lot Chardonnay 2023
A deliberate blend of new-world and old-world Chardonnay technique, out of Mendoza's high-altitude vineyards.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chardonnay from Mendoza, Argentina.
Taste Profile: Beautiful pale-gold colour with enticing aromas of mixed melon, tropical fruit, vanilla and woody notes balanced by a touch of creaminess. Spice carries through the palate, joined by a hint of spiced pear and a stony flavour — a taste of perfectly blended new world and old world Chardonnay.
Winemaking Process: 85% barrel-fermented with indigenous yeast, the remaining 15% fermented in tank at very low temperature. 60% goes through malolactic fermentation. 85% is aged in a mix of 25% new oak and 65% second-use oak barrels.
Winemaker: Luca was founded in 1999 by Dr Laura Catena, fourth-generation member of the Catena family and a practising emergency physician, who named the project after her newborn son. Laura set out to explore the quality potential of small, old-vine, family-owned vineyards in Mendoza's Uco Valley, pioneering direct relationships with growers whose exceptional old-vine Malbec had previously gone into bulk wine.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
