A cool, unhurried Sauvignon Blanc that takes its time to reveal itself — and doesn't taste like any Sauvignon you've had before.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Sauvignon Blanc from vines averaging 30 years old, hand-picked late from an organically farmed vineyard in Goriška Brda, Slovenia, with a short window of no more than two hours between picking and fermentation.
Taste Profile: Medium deep golden colour. A strong bouquet of bell peppers, hay and elderflower gives way to a dry palate with a touch of sweetness, vibrant acidity and a sublime oily texture. Persistent, diverse flavours run from orange citrus and tropical melon to ripe apple, honey and gentle oak, finishing smooth, rich and fruity with a dry mineral edge.
Winemaking Process: Fermentation begins spontaneously in large steel tanks using indigenous yeast drawn from a small pre-harvested portion (5%) of the same grapes. A second fermentation takes place in 220-litre French oak barriques on fine lees, with 18 months maturing in barrique and a further 4 months resting in bottle laid on its side. No fining, no filtering, low sulphites.
Winemaker: Movia has belonged to the Kristancic family since 1820 and has been farmed by eight generations in Goriska Brda. Ales Kristancic, born 1966, trained in Veneto and at Domaine de la Romanee-Conti and Chateau Petrus before converting the estate to organic and biodynamic farming.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
