Fujimaru Table Top Delaware 2022
Made at Japan's first urban winery, from vines planted on land its founder rescued from a disappearing 120-year viticultural tradition.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Delaware, an orange wine grown in the vineyards of Kashiwara, Osaka, Japan.
Taste Profile: Crisp and refreshing on the palate, with flavours of orange zest, apricot and a hint of nuttiness, and a bright orange hue with a distinctive aroma of ripe oranges. Best served chilled, and a natural match for sushi, sashimi and tempura.
Winemaking Process: Grapes are hand-selected and fermented with wild yeasts. Only a limited number of bottles are produced each year, making this a sought-after expression of Japanese orange wine.
Winemaker: Tomofumi Fujimaru began his winemaking project in 2010 to save Kashiwara's 120-year history of grape growing from disappearing under urbanisation, taking over abandoned land and growing vines himself. In 2013 he opened Fujimaru Winery in Osaka, Japan's first urban winery, having previously made wine at the nearby Katashimo Winery. He was the first Japanese winemaker to import traditional Georgian amphorae, and champions natural, low-intervention winemaking across his range of whites, reds and orange wines like this Delaware.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
