A Beaujolais road trip reimagined as a light, chillable Hunter Valley Shiraz.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Shiraz from three Hunter Valley vineyards: Vinden Vineyard (planted 1995), Somerset Vineyard (planted in the 1960s) and Tawarri Vineyard, all grown over red clay soil in the Upper Hunter Valley, New South Wales.
Taste Profile: Fresh black fruit, violets and smoky earth fill the nose. Medium-bodied and dry, with well-integrated tannins and crisp acidity that keeps you reaching for the next sip — black plum, ripe blackberry and cherry flavours mingle with dusty earthy minerality and caramel baking spice. Drink now, or serve chilled on a hot day.
Winemaking Process: 10% whole bunch, 90% whole berry, fermented in open concrete fermenters with hand plunging and basket pressing, then aged 4 months in neutral French oak.
Winemaker: Angus "Gus" Vinden is the young owner-winemaker behind this much-loved Hunter Valley label, having taken the reins from his father a few years ago. Inspired by a trip to Beaujolais, Gus is reimagining the family label with a string of exciting, modern wines out of the cellar.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
