Bellingham Wines Bernard Series Chenin Blanc 2022
A blend of some of the Cape's oldest bush vines, gathered from four different corners of the Western Cape.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chenin Blanc from characterful old bush vines (35-47 years old) blended from Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Paarl and Darling, South Africa. Tended by hand, the vines grow in weathered granite soils and produce low yields of high-quality fruit.
Taste Profile: A thoroughly contemporary, elaborately intricate wine, its individualistic character reflecting the history of some of the oldest bush vines in the Cape. Vibrant tropical fruit flavours of pineapple, melon and papaya meet hints of fleshy peach, honey, toast and smoky oak spice on the finish, with high acidity and a layered, lustrous mouthfeel. Drink now or cellar up to 5 years.
Winemaking Process: Hand-picked, then naturally fermented at 16°C in stainless steel, followed by 12 months' maturation in French oak barrels (50% new, 50% second-fill).
Winemaker: The Bernard Series is Bellingham's tribute to co-founder Bernard Podlashuk, a trail-blazing visionary whose tenacity and innovative flair live on through this range of hand-crafted, site-specific wines. Each release in the series is built to carry an unmistakable stamp of individuality, honouring Podlashuk's maverick spirit.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
