A modern blend born from a 25-generation wine family that has farmed the same Chianti Rufina hillside since 1592.
Grape Varietals & Region: 40% Sangiovese, 40% Merlot and 20% Colorino from the Sottomonte and Camerate vineyards on the Tenuta Bossi estate, about 300 metres above sea level with southern exposure, in the Chianti Rufina appellation northeast of Florence, Tuscany. The soil is Galestro, Tuscany's typical hard schist, mixed with clay and calcareous sediments.
Taste Profile: Bright ruby red with purple reflections. A complex, intense nose of red fruits like wild strawberry, with spicy hints of eucalyptus, cinnamon and liquorice, opening in the glass to leather and sweet tobacco. Full on the palate with fine tannins and a lively flavour, softened by generous fruit, closing with balsamic aromas and liquorice.
Winemaking Process: Grapes are harvested by hand in early October, except the Merlot, picked in the first weeks of September. Fermentation takes place in vats at 20°C under controlled refrigeration, followed by malolactic fermentation in oak barrels. The wine rests 12 months in 25hl Slavonian oak barrels, 12 months in barriques, and around 24 months in bottle.
Winemaker: The Gondi are a noble Florentine family with a documented history dating back to Charlemagne, and Tenuta Bossi has belonged to them since 1592, making them wine producers for 25 generations. Bernardo Gondi created Ser Amerigo as a modern expression for the estate, experimenting with international varieties alongside Tuscany's native Sangiovese to build a wine distinct from Tenuta Bossi's classic Chianti Rufina.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
