Catherine Marshall "Fine Art Collection" Grenache Noir 2022
Three separate fermentation styles, blended only at the very end.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Grenache grown in a hot pocket of Swartland, South Africa, close to Malmesbury, on deep, gravelly red soils with pockets of laterite that resemble coffee grounds ("koffieklip" in Afrikaans).
Taste Profile: Vibrant and expressive, with juicy red berry flavours, hints of spice and a touch of floral character. Medium-bodied with soft tannins, delivering a smooth, elegant mouthfeel.
Winemaking Process: Three components were made separately and kept apart until the end of maturation: one destemmed and crushed, one fermented whole-bunch, and one destemmed and layered with 20% stems. Each was pressed in a basket press to cask, with secondary malolactic fermentation in French oak 500L, 300L and 225L casks over 9 months, then lightly filtered before bottling.
Winemaker: Catherine Marshall is a highly respected South African winemaker known for her passion and dedication to crafting wines of exceptional quality. Her Fine Art Collection reflects an artistic approach to winemaking, where each wine is a unique expression of its terroir and grape variety.

What began as a festive three-barrel foot stomp event attended by a handful of friends on a south peninsula beach in 1996 has led to the decision was made in 2007 to source all grapes from mostly cool climate Elgin and the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
