Grenache and Syrah from a single lieu-dit, named for the estate's women.
Grape Varietals & Region: 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah from the Font du Loup lieu-dit in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Rhône Valley, France.
Taste Profile: Rich and opulent, with ripe red and black fruit — cherry, blackberry and plum — layered with spice, dried herbs and a hint of leather. Velvety texture, well-integrated tannins and vibrant acidity balance the richness through a long, harmonious finish.
Winemaking Process: A destemmed blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah is aged in concrete tank and old barrels, developing complexity and depth while preserving the purity of the fruit.
Winemaker: Chateau de la Font du Loup has been in the Melia family since 1942, when they bought the estate as growers, selling their harvest to négociants until they began producing their own wine in 1979 under Charles Melia. Today his daughter, Anne-Charlotte Mélia Bachas, runs the estate with her husband Laurent Bachas, bringing organic farming and HVE Level 3 certification to a property whose name — "Fountain of the Wolf" — comes from local folklore about wolves drinking at its springs.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
