A single-estate Gran Reserva built from 34 micro-plots, each farmed for its own soil, grape and winemaking potential.
Grape Varietals & Region: 80% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha and 10% Mazuelo from the Hacienda Pradolagar estate, 52 hectares divided into 34 micro-plots, in Rioja, Spain, farmed using sustainable agricultural methods and selected for the best ageing capability.
Taste Profile: Concentrated aromas of black fruit intertwine with varied spicy nuances from long ageing in French and American oak, with subtle balsamic notes adding freshness and balance underneath. A robust body with highly polished tannins, a long finish, and real ageing capacity.
Winemaking Process: Grapes are selected in the vineyard and picked by hand into 12kg boxes, then destemmed at slow speeds before falling into tanks by gravity. Fermentation runs at a controlled 20-24°C for nine to twelve days. Ageing uses a careful selection of French oak alongside a small percentage of American oak, sourced exclusively from the Seguin Moreau and Nadalié cooperages.
Winemaker: Marqués de Vargas Family Wines & Estates built its reputation on the Hacienda Pradolagar estate in Rioja, combining generations of family winemaking tradition with a rigorous, plot-by-plot approach to farming and blending that defines its Gran Reserva releases.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
