Bedoba "Orange" Kisi Rkatsiteli 2022
Named 'Day of Luck' — a Swiss wine entrepreneur's tribute to a Georgian winemaking lineage that may stretch back to 1533.
Grape Varietals & Region: A blend of Kisi and Rkatsiteli from Kakheti, Georgia. The Rkatsiteli vines are 25 years old, grown on deep blue slate soil, while the Kisi comes from a younger vineyard with limestone soil and a cooler microclimate.
Taste Profile: Orange jam in colour, with aromas of dried apricot, honey and orange peel carrying light herbal hints. Enchanting flavours of dried apricot, honey, orange peel and mountain herbs follow through, with hints of tannin adding structure. Captivating complexity and texture.
Winemaking Process: The Rkatsiteli is partially (60%) fermented as whole bunches and matured in qvevri amphora, with a further 10% fermented in qvevri and matured in 225L barrique. The Kisi is destemmed and fermented in temperature-controlled steel tanks, then filtered after alcoholic fermentation to prevent malolactic conversion.
Winemaker: Bedoba — "Day of Luck" in Georgian — traces its cellars back to 1737, founded by the Konchosvili family, with some accounts tracing the winemaking lineage on this land as far back as 1533, to Kakhaber Konchoshvili, winemaker to the Kakhetian king Teimuraz II. The modern label was born from a meeting between two worlds: Swiss wine entrepreneur Thierry Fontannaz, who fell for Georgia's wine culture on a trip through the country, and winemaker Nugzar Ksovreli. Together they honour that history on the label with the icon of Saint Nina, credited with spreading Christianity through Georgia. Grapes are hand-harvested from Kakheti's Kvareli and Kindzmarauli appellations along the Duruji River valley.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
