Tenuta Il Canovino "Recioto della Valpolicella" DOCG 2018 — 500ML
Recioto — the wine that led to the beautiful mistake of Amarone.
Grape Varietals & Region: Corvina Veronese 40%, Corvinone Veronese 40%, Rondinella 15% and Oseleta 5%, from the vineyard in località "Canova," between 200 and 250 metres above sea level. Calcareous soil, fully south-facing, organically managed.
Taste Profile: Intense red garnet colour. Fine, ethereal, fruity and fragrant, with a fresh bouquet. Velvet smooth, rich and cherry-sweet on the palate.
Winemaking Process: Grapes wither from mid-September for 90 to 100 days, with a natural weight decline of 60%, under scrupulous care to protect the integrity and health of the bunches in the drying loft. Soft pressing follows in December or January, then 30 days of fermentation with controlled temperature and maceration. The wine ages in 30hl Slavonian oak barrels for 12 months, followed by a further 12 months evolving on its own yeast, and a final 12 months ageing in bottle.
Winemaker: The Rambelli family's wine story starts in Romagna at the end of the 19th century with Amilcare Rambelli, a master cooper who traded barrel-making for viticulture. His son Antonio left Romagna to try his luck in Valpolicella, Veneto, and grandfather Milo (Emilio) built the family's reputation as an esteemed cellarman from 1957 onward. Today the estate is run by the fourth generation, husband-and-wife team Antonio and Francesca, farming 10 organic hectares in Canova, on the hills of Mizzole overlooking Verona.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
