Ghost Rock is a cornerstone of Tasmania’s Cradle Coast, founded by the Arnold family and instrumental in shaping the region’s reputation over the past two decades. Today, the estate is led by second-generation winemaker Justin Arnold alongside his wife, Alicia Peardon.
The vineyards sit on varied expressions of volcanic clay, from loam to sand, carefully farmed to manage vigour and preserve balance. The result is a quietly confident range of wines that reflect both site and season: precise, cool-climate expressions shaped by experience rather than ego.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Pinot Noir from Cradle Coast, Tasmania. The Oulton Vineyard is their lowest and most protected vineyard – a place where ripeness is achieved via some of the most idyllic growing conditions. Fruit for this wine was selected from clones 115 and Mv6. Vines were hand leaf plucked prior to version to maximize airflow. Winter pruned to 3 arm arched.
Taste Profile: A lifted bouquet of bright red fruits—think fresh raspberries, red currants, and cranberry —interwoven with wild bramble and raspberry cane. Beneath the vibrant fruit lies an earthy, savoury core, offering subtle hints of tomato stem, dried herbs, and sassafras leaf.
The entry is smooth and seamless, with a graceful transition into a light to medium- bodied frame. Red fruit flavours persist, joined by a savory undertow that adds depth and intrigue. The texture is supple, with fine- grained tannins and a vibrant acid line that carries the wine to a lingering, peppery finish.
Winemaking Process: Both clones were picked, destemmed, and cofermented by wild yeast. The wine was hand plunged twice daily, and pressed just at dry. Wild malolactic was encouraged in barrel. The best 7 barrels were selected, 3 of which were new French oak, resulting in a 40% new oak profile. This wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
