A love letter to Chile's oldest grape, grown wild and dry-farmed in vines that have survived a century without irrigation.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% País from 80-year-old, dry-farmed vines in the Ranquil municipality of Chile's Itata Valley — part of the secano interior, the old dryland heartland where País has grown ungrafted and unirrigated for generations, long before it had any claim to fame.
Taste Profile: Full of wild red fruit and intense spice on the nose. Juicy and refreshing, with a round mouthfeel and especially smooth tannins, closing in a long finish that invites another glass — the kind of wine that goes down like water on a hot day with hot dogs on the grill.
Winemaking Process: Hand-harvested from old, dry-farmed bush vines, then aged 12 months in semi-new French oak barrels.
Winemaker: Miguel Torres Chile, the Chilean arm of the Spanish family winery, has spent years reviving old, long-neglected País and Cinsault vineyards across Chile's secano interior — a project built on the belief that grapes once dismissed as too rustic for fine wine actually hold some of the country's most distinctive old-vine character. La Causa is their tribute to that heritage, made the way farmers in Cauquenes and Itata have made it for over a century.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
