Zenato Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Classico 2019
A majestic wine — the jewel of Zenato.
Grape Varietals & Region: 80% Corvina Veronese, 10% Rondinella and 10% Oseleta and Croatina, selected from top grapes in the classic zone of Valpolicella, in the municipality of S. Ambrogio, Veneto, Italy — a land steeped in food and wine tradition. The vineyard sits at 300–350 metres altitude with a southeast exposure; vines average 15–20 years old, grown in clay and calcareous soils rich in rock fragments.
Taste Profile: Garnet red colour. An intense, ethereal bouquet of bay leaf and dried fruit over a cherry base. The full-bodied palate is round, soft and velvety with fine tannins and delicate acidity, gripping the mouth with dark cherry, plum jam, raisin and dried prune flavours alongside a touch of leather and chocolate.
Winemaking Process: After hand-harvesting and careful selection, the grapes rest in the drying loft for 4 months before crushing and 15–20 days of skin maceration at 23–25°C. Ages in large-format Slavonian oak casks for a minimum of 36 months.
Winemaker: Zenato was founded in 1960 by Sergio Zenato and his wife Carla in Peschiera del Garda, going on to become known as the soul of Lugana and the heart of Valpolicella through 95 hectares of vineyards spanning both zones. Today the estate is led by their children Alberto and Nadia Zenato, who have continued the family's focus on indigenous Veneto varieties and traditional appassimento technique.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
