Italo Cescon "Il Tralcetto" Müller-Thurgau Trevenezie IGT 2023
Grown mostly in Friuli Venezia Giulia and Trentino Alto Adige, Müller-Thurgau carries unmistakably fruity, aromatic notes.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Müller-Thurgau from San Foca in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy, on gravelly soils.
Taste Profile: Straw yellow with greenish hints, fresh and delicate, complex: floral with peach flower, rosehip and elder scents, green with sage and herb aromas, fruity with melon and peach flavours, but also candied notes. A very pleasant aromatic flavour and harmonious body give the wine elegant traits, showing freshness, intensity and refinement, leaving an almond aftertaste on the palate.
Winemaking Process: After crushing and destemming, a gentle pressing gives 60% run juice yield. Fermentation runs for 10 days under a controlled temperature of 14°C, followed by racking, 5 months of ageing in stainless steel and a further 3 months of bottle refinement.
Winemaker: Italo Cescon founded his winery in Ormelle, in the Piave area of Treviso province, in 1957, following the path of his grandfather Domenico, a Raboso del Piave producer. Where most local growers sold in bulk, Italo chose from the start to bottle his entire production, earning a loyal following among the osterie and restaurants of Treviso thanks partly to the estate's distinctive Tralcetto bottle and rustic, hand-written label. After flood damage to the Piave river in 1967, the family relocated to their current farm in Roncadelle, and the estate has since grown to around 110 hectares, 16 of which converted to organic farming in 2009. Since the 1990s, Italo's children Gloria, Graziella and Domenico have carried the winery forward with the same drive their father instilled in them.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
