Grape Varietals & Region: Cabernet Franc 35%, Cabernet Sauvignon 30%, Merlot 20%, Petit Verdot 10%, Malbec 5%. From Niagara, Canada
Taste Profile: It has a powerful bouquet with aromas of ripe black cherry, blackberry, cassis, blackcurrant, vanilla bean, leather, cigar tobacco, sandalwood, mocha and dried plum. The palate is bold and elegant with flavours of ripe cherry, plum, blackberry preserve, black pepper and dried currants.
Winemaking Process: 25% Appassimento. The grapes were harvested, with a portion set aside to dry for 100 days. After pressing and fermentation the wine was aged in French and American oak barrels for 20 months. The best barrels from our individual vineyard blocks are chosen for the Temptress blend. This wine is tasting exceedingly well now, but will continue to evolve in your cellar through to the year 2026.
Powerful modern reds with the ability to age. They tend to be very intense, with ripe fruit, firm tannins & drinkability either young or cellared.
They often have notes of forest floor, blackcurrant, mint & eucalyptus
Passito wines is the use of dried grapes to make wines. The main difference from late harvest is that these wines are often picked when ripe & dried after picking, and can be dried to different levels of moisture. A practice made popular by Italy, it has been adopted in various other regions
