The name "Mr Barval" is derived from their surnames, Gherardi and Jorgensen, and represents their mutual respect and passion for winemaking.
The wine is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec & Merlot, sourced from select vineyards in the Margaret River region. It is aged for 18 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels, resulting in a complex wine with layers of dark fruit, spice, and subtle oak influence.
On the palate, this wine is full-bodied and rich, with notes of blackcurrant, black cherry, and dark chocolate. The tannins are firm but well-integrated, providing a long and satisfying finish.
