Well assembled fruit & wood.
Grape Varietals & Region: 80% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano, 7% Mazuelo and 3% Viura from 60-year-old vines grown on clayey-calcareous soils across Rioja Alta.
Taste Profile: Clean, intense ruby red with real shine. A complex, aromatic nose of black fruit, vanilla, chocolate and mineral notes drawn from the terroir. Well-structured, fresh, long and tasty on the palate, with fruit and wood in excellent balance.
Winemaking Process: Hand-harvested and fully destemmed, with fermentation in stainless steel tanks followed by 18 months' ageing in French oak barrels.
Winemaker: Marqués de Tomares is a centenarian Rioja house with a family history in grape-growing dating back to 1886. Don Román Montaña founded the winery in 1910, and it's still run today by his grandchildren, who maintain the estate's traditions in both cellar and vineyard. The family farms nearly 106 hectares across Rioja Alta — in Haro, Fuenmayor and the surrounding villages — much of it over a century old, working alongside longtime local growers to preserve the precise identity that defines Marqués de Tomares wines.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
