Marqués de Tomares Rioja Crianza 2021 3.0L Double Magnum
A centenary Rioja house that still ages every bottle the traditional way.
Grape Varietals & Region: 90% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano from various plots in Rioja Alta, Spain, hand-picked from the plot of Llanoluengo, Valtierra, off vines averaging 40 years old on clayey-calcareous soil at 680 metres altitude.
Taste Profile: A gorgeous ruby red, with notes of cherries, strawberries and even blackberries, a touch of peppercorn and oak. Fruity, fresh and rounded, with an elegant tannic structure; the flavour is smooth and round on entry, with velvety, pleasant sensations and an outstanding aftertaste thanks to its great persistence.
Winemaking Process: Aged for 12 months in American-French oak barrels before bottling.
Winemaker: Marqués de Tomares carries a family grape-growing tradition dating to 1886; Don Román Montaña founded the winery itself in 1910, and it remains operated today by his grandchildren, who maintain the estate's traditions both in the cellar and across its vineyards. Nearly 106 hectares of family-owned vines, many over 100 years old, are scattered throughout Rioja Alta in Haro, Fuenmayor and the surrounding villages, with careful viticulture and long-standing partnerships with local farmers giving Marqués de Tomares its precise identity as a centenary Rioja house.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
