Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chardonnay from Burgundy, France. “Champ Gain” is one of the highest climates on the Puligny hillside, located just behind Mont-Rachet.
The vines do not belong to the estate, and comes from their trade selection
Taste Profile: A pure, pure gold clings to gliding tears on the gob. Vetiver and torrent moss blend in an evanescent fragrance. The gentle sweetness of its aging releases a mineral and saline flavor.
Winemaking Process: Hand-picked grapes only. The whole bunches are pressed in a pneumatic press. The grape juice is then cold-settled before being gravity-filled within 48 hours. Alcoholic fermentation takes place entirely in barrels, using indigenous yeasts. The wine maatures in French oak for 10 months, undergoing regular stirring of the lees
From the limestone character of Sancerre to the green, herbaceous Sauvignon Blanc of Marlborough, this style group often shows off cut grass and wet stone. Often associated with coastal regions or limestone based terroir, these wines are characterised with crisp acidity, mineraiity, citrus tones, with a hint of grassiness
