A Napa Valley project built by a second-generation winemaker still working alongside his father.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, blended from three distinct Napa Valley vineyards, each contributing its own terroir to the final wine.
Taste Profile: Rich and bold, with aromas of dark fruit, chocolate and espresso.
Winemaking Process: Hand-picked and fermented in small batches, then aged 22 months in French oak barrels, which add complexity and structure. The name "Steady State" reflects the balance between the contributing vineyards, creating a consistent, harmonious wine year after year.
Winemaker: Grounded Wine Co. was founded in 2018 by Josh Phelps, a second-generation Napa Valley winemaker and son of renowned winemaker Chris Phelps (Dominus, Caymus), who still works alongside him on the project. Since launching his first vintages in 2019 and 2020, Josh has grown the label into one of the most talked-about young brands in American wine.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
