An eighth-generation Greek winemaking family, eight decades deep into the Murray River.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Shinas Estate's vineyards on the outskirts of Mildura, Victoria, on the Murray River, where a Mediterranean climate and ancient soils suit premium grape growing.
Taste Profile: Deep crimson, with aromas of blackberries, vanilla and dark chocolate. Full-bodied and dry, with a solid frame of tannins and crisp acidity balanced by plush texture. A fruit-driven wine with ripe plummy character alongside black cherry and bold strawberry flavours.
Winemaking Process: Irrigation is minimized to reduce cropping levels and enhance fruit quality, with the fruit left on the vine well beyond traditional periods to develop intense flavour. Only the highest quality fruit is selected for harvest, in true boutique style.
Winemaker: The Shinas family's winemaking heritage stretches back eight generations in Greece, migrating to Australia in the early 1950s and settling near Mildura on the Murray River, where vines were first planted in 1898. What started as wine made purely for family and friends grew into such demand that Shinas Estate Australia was formally established in 2002, still run as a micro boutique winery using methods passed down through the generations.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
