Nicknamed "the Queen of England's Wine" in Moldova, for good reason.
Grape Varietals & Region: 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Saperavi and 5% Rara Neagră, grown in Purcari's estate vineyards close to the Black Sea, Moldova.
Taste Profile: Intense ruby with a garnet hue. The bouquet opens with fine shades of plum, chocolate and fig, developing further notes of vanilla and saffron over time. Deep and velvety on the palate, balanced with delicate tannins and flavours of oak and fruit, finishing with a noble, lingering richness.
Winemaking Process: Careful hand harvesting and selection, vinified using traditional techniques, then aged 18 months in French oak barriques.
Winemaker: Purcari is Moldova's oldest winery, founded in 1827 under a special decree from Russian Emperor Nicholas I recognising it as the first official winery in Bessarabia. Negru de Purcari has been a favourite at royal courts for generations — from Nicholas II and King George V to Queen Victoria and, more recently, Queen Elizabeth II — earning it the nickname "the Queen of England's Wine" back home in Moldova.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
