Description

Leeuwin Estate Art Series Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Grape Varietals & Region: Cabernet Sauvignon blended with a little bit of Malbec, from Margaret River in Australia

Taste Profile: Blackcurrants and dark cherries dominate the nose, alongside anise, clove, cardamom, and bay leaf. The wine is highly lifted and perfumed with lavender and basil flowers on show. Drive, direction and line form the shape and frame of the palate. Dark forest fruits surround cedar, olives, and graphite. There is distinct minerality threaded within, leading to a fine finish, with length and complexity delivered by ripe, silky tannins.

Winemaking Process: The wine is batch-vinified and partially whole bunch fermented in closed fermenters, then left on skins for around three weeks before pressing. It is matured in 25-40% new French oak barrels for about two years
