Five Bordeaux varieties from a single Napa vineyard that's belonged to one family since 1939.
Grape Varietals & Region: 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, with 13% each of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Merlot, from the Hendry Vineyard on benchlands west of the town of Napa, California. The vines grow on thin, stony and clay soils between 200 and 300 feet above sea level, with morning fog and strong afternoon breezes from San Pablo Bay moderating the climate. The Hendry vineyard is the sole source of fruit for all of the estate's wines, and has been home to the Hendry family since 1939.
Taste Profile: Opaque purple-ruby in colour. Cabernet is prominent in the pleasant aromatics, leaning toward dark fruit, with spice, smoke and cedar from the oak underpinning round, dried-blueberry-like purple fruit. Tannins are soft at first, gradually building on the palate.
Winemaking Process: Aged a total of 18 months in French oak barrels, approximately 70-75% of which were new.
Winemaker: The Hendry family has farmed this Napa benchland since 1939, when George and Margaret Hendry bought the old Sigrist property, a section of which still carried Zinfandel vines dating to 1900. George, an agronomy professor, died in 1944, leaving Margaret to run the ranch alone, raising sons George O. and Andrew while farming grapes, prune-plums, walnuts and cattle. Their son George O. Hendry began estate-bottling the family's own wine in 1992 and expanded the property in 1994; today his nephew, Mike Hendry, oversees vineyard management, continuing more than eight decades of family stewardship over the same benchland west of Napa.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
