Chateau Bela Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
Grape Varietal & Region: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Located in Slovakia, on the Hungarian border just north of the Danube, the Chateau Bela is a former property of Baron Ullmann, later purchased by the aunt of Egon Muller's wife. Here, the winemaking tradition is very old, and the vineyards, which enjoy the protection of the Carpathians, were initially planted by the ancient Romans.
Taste Profile: The Chateau Bela Egon Muller Cabernet Sauvignon is an expressive and well-balanced wine with a pleasant fruit structure. The nose reveals aromas of red berries such as cassis and currants, followed by notes of elderflower and herbs. On the palate, it shows soft tannins thanks to the long rest in wood and a good acid vein. The finish is long and pleasant.
Winemaking Process: After the harvest, the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are fermented and left to macerate for 2 weeks on their skins. The finished wine is then aged for 2 and a half years in old barriques.
