A Lugana family's answer to what to do with the red-grape corners of a white-wine estate.
Grape Varietals & Region: A blend of Marzemino, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, grown in the Lugana zone of Lombardy, Italy, in the land of Benaco (Lake Garda).
Taste Profile: Deep ruby with purple reflections. Rich on the nose with red fruit, crushed blueberry, Marasca cherry in alcohol, balsamic and jam aromas. Powerful and incisive, clean and savoury, with the fine acidity that marks wines from the land of Benaco.
Winemaking Process: Hand-harvested, then aged 14 months in oak barrels before bottling, building depth and complexity.
Winemaker: Ca dei Frati has been run by the Dal Cero family since Felice Dal Cero began working these vines in 1939, on land farmed since 1782. Best known worldwide for Turbiana-based Lugana whites, the family also turns a portion of their Lombardy vineyards over to this red blend, proof the estate isn't a one-grape story.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
