Bodegas Care Solidarity Rose 2023
Grape Varietals & Region: A cheeky blend of 50% Tempranillo & 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. Coming from Carinena in Aragon, Spain, it has an altitude between 600 to 800 meters, with a Continental Mediterranean climate, scarce rainfall below 250 liters, cold and dry wind called Cierzo. Rocky and poor soils.
Taste Profile: Bright pale pink colour with blue tones. Fresh aromas of red fruits and cream caramel. On the palate the wine is fresh with a great balanced acidity. Wide and enjoyable mid-palate, remembering the fruits that appeared on the nose.
Winemaking Process: The grapes for this wine come from Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes grown in vineyards around 700 metres. The grapes are night-harvested by hand-picking to preserve freshness and ensure high quality of grapes go into the wine. They are handled with care using a hydraulic vertical press, which produces a high quality must; all under the watchful eyes of Oscar Martinez, Care’s winemaker.
