Sweet without being cloying or overpowering. The residual sugar is on the low end for an Icewine and well balanced by the fresh acidity and above average alcohol. This is fruit first followed by sweetness. Lots of cherry, raspberry jam, candy apple, and a touch of cinnamon spice rolling through onto a luxurious finish.
Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot.
Two acres comprised of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot were picked for Icewine Red when temperatures plummeted below freezing
Characterised by notes of rich fruit jam/compote with a touch of spice, expect notes of prunes, plums, chocolate and spice.
Many are fortified, or are made from passito grapes
Made from grapes that were left ot freeze on the vine, and then pressed when frozen. This allows the sugars to separate from the water, resulting in highly concentrated wines, that could be some of the sweetest in the world
Difficult to produce due to various challenges in keeping the grapes frozen & pressing them when solid, it's a risky & challenging wine to make
WINES FROM UNIQUE REGIONS & BOUTIQUE WINERIES
Founded in 2019, we were bored with the typical Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Amarone & Moscato offerings at most bars & restaurants, and were inspired to dive deeper into the wine world!
