Budureasca Bristena Busuioaca de Bohotin 2020
Named for a Dacian legend's bravest daughter, this rosé is basically liquid girl-power folklore.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Busuioaca de Bohotin, grown on 6 hectares of Budureasca's own vineyards in Dealu Mare, Romania, from vines over 60 years old. The considerable calcareous soil and elevations up to 400 metres in this "big hill" DOC give the grapes real structure alongside their naturally floral character.
Taste Profile: Pale pink in the glass, with raspberry and wild cherry aromas joined by fine notes of rose. Ripe summer fruit flavours are pleasant and well-balanced, with fresh acidity and a long, clean finish — elegant and easy to drink at once.
Winemaking Process: Grapes are hand-selected, pressed and fermented at low temperatures for 3–4 weeks to preserve natural sugars, striking a balance between the variety's aromatics and the wine's gentle sweetness.
Winemaker: Budureasca traces its roots to Dacian times, with 31 archaeological sites along the Budureasca river terraces marking one of the densest ancient settlements in the region — vineyards here are first documented in 1773. The modern winery was founded in 2006 across 275 hectares, one of the largest producers in Dealu Mare, and named its Bristena label after the legendary Dacian girl said to have helped free her people, and her father, from captivity.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
