Giovanni Rosso Donna Margherita Barbera d'Alba
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Barbera from the Barbera d'Alba region of Piedmont, Italy.
Taste Profile: Interestingly complex, light bodied yet rich, smooth and easy to drink. Deep ruby red color with purple tints. The nose is very intense, with typical aromas of plum, raspberry, blueberry and some delicate wisteria hints. On the palate it is dry, fleshy and juicy, and very easy-to-drink with vibrant acidity and a long fruity finish.
Winemaking Process: Fermentation lasts some 10-15 days with daily pumping of the wine mass with délestages at half of the period (fermentation in stainless steel tanks). Aged in 50hl oak barrels for some months.
