A geologist's life's work, distilled into a single vineyard — old vines, ancient soils, and a label penned by the estate's own founder.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, from a single, certified heritage vineyard older than 35 years, on a west-facing site at 100 metres above sea level in Stellenbosch Kloof, Stellenbosch, South Africa. The Timepiece collection captures a part of the Jordan heritage, including single-vineyard wines from estate vineyards older than 35 years, carrying the stamp of estate founder Ted Jordan. The distinct ravine that embodies Stellenbosch Kloof harnesses all the qualities of a well-orientated compass — varying elevations and aspects allow specific grape varieties to be grown on sites that optimise their expression through location. Gary Jordan's background as a geologist is one of the reasons the vineyard faces in every direction of the compass, with the diversity of these locations and soil composition setting Jordan Wines apart
Taste Profile: The inaugural vintage of the Timepiece Cabernet Sauvignon showcases the transparency of fruit associated with mature vines — rich and intense, with brooding flavours of malted dark chocolate, salted black liquorice, and blueberries. A wine of real depth and concentration, befitting fruit from vines old enough to be certified as a heritage vineyard. Best paired with grilled red meats, aged hard cheeses, or rich braised dishes
Winemaking Process: The four cardinal points depicted on the Timepiece packaging are found at varying altitudes on the hillside slopes at Jordan, enabling the planting of specially selected grape varieties on the ancient soils to ensure vineyard longevity and varietal clarity — highlighting the positive effects of the different meso-climates on the old vineyards, uniquely located at the upper end of Stellenbosch Kloof. In the cellar, the team focuses on precise vinification — stainless steel tanks with individual cooling bands and oak barrels for classic maturation.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
