Viña Muriel "Tinto Gran Reserva" Garnacha 2011
A Rioja dynasty's name built letter by letter from family, region and town.
Grape Varietals & Region: Garnacha grown in Rioja, Spain, sourced from mature vineyards known for concentrated, expressive fruit.
Taste Profile: Deep ruby with aromas of ripe dark berries, black cherries and hints of spice and vanilla. Layers of blackberry, plum and blackcurrant on the palate, complemented by well-integrated oak and silky tannins, with a long, lingering finish.
Winemaking Process: Aged in oak barrels for a minimum of two years after fermentation, followed by several years of bottle ageing in the cellars, allowing the flavours to harmonise and the tannins to soften.
Winemaker: Bodegas Muriel was founded in 1986 by Julián Murúa, whose father José had founded Bodegas Murúa in Elciego in 1926 before selling it in 1972. The name "Muriel" blends pieces of the family name, the region and the town — mu from Murúa, ri from Rioja, el from Elciego. Julián's son Javier joined the business in 2000 as the third generation, driving the winery's international growth.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
