Champagne Les Frères Mignon "L'Aventure" Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru NV
Two brothers who spent decades growing and selling grapes to other Champagne houses finally decided it was time to bottle their own.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chardonnay, a blend from the family's Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyard holdings in Cuis, Avize and Cramant in the Côte des Blancs, Champagne, France.
Taste Profile: Wonderfully fresh and true to its terroir and grapes. The nose opens with ripe yellow citrus and soft candied lemon peel; the palate is soft and creamy, with lemon notes and a gentle minerality bringing everything into harmony.
Winemaking Process: Florent Mignon takes a precise but restrained approach in the cellar, using only around 1.5-2g of dosage and adding sulphur just once, directly after harvest, never again during the rest of production. After pressing, the juice goes into French oak (225-litre barriques and 600-litre demi-muids) for natural fermentation, resting there for about a year before bottling and a further roughly two years' ageing on lees ahead of disgorgement.
Winemaker: The Mignon family has grown and sold grapes in the heart of the Côte des Blancs for decades, but it was only in 2015 that brothers Florent and Julien decided to make their own wine. With their father's support they built a new winery in Avize in under a year, ready in time for the 2016 harvest, and released their first cuvées under the Les Frères Mignon name in 2019. Farming largely without chemicals and fermenting with minimal sulphites, the brothers built L'Aventure — their signature Blanc de Blancs — as a limited-production expression, capped at around 6,000 bottles, of the Grand Cru terroir they've tended their whole lives.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
