Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chardonnay from premier cru plots in Chablis, Burgundy
Planted on 2 parcels within Montmains on rich clay-limestone soils. Whilst Montée de Tonnerre often sits at the pinnacle of the Premier Crus for most producers, Duplessis hold their Montmains as equal to their parcel of Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos in terms of being the longest-lived wines of the domaine—this is a truly stunning example of the estate’s quality
Taste Profile: A rich, assertive wine that is also complex, subtle, and well balanced, with plenty of citrus and white fruit aromas over a backdrop of slate and light saline notes.
Old oak is favoured here for fermentation and ageing – leading to a richer style than 'classic lean & mean' Chablis, but still retains a purity and clarity to the fruit and steely nature one would expect
Winemaking Process: The parcels are vinified separately, using natural yeasts in stainless steel and spending 12 months on lees, before 6 months in barrel

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
