Over 200 years ago, an ancient Roman settlement called CARE made the first grape juices in Aragon. Today, Bodegas Care in modern day Carinena DO, sits on the same land as this Roman settlement, upon which is the origin of Garnacha.

Bodegas Care Garnacha Tinta Nativa 2020 Imperial

Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Garnacha from Carinena in Aragon, Spain. The fruit comes from old vines of over 50 years old. D.O.P. Cariñena, North-east of Spain. Altitude from 600 to 800 meters, Continental Mediterranean climate, scarce rainfall below 250 liters, cold and dry wind called Cierzo. Rocky and poor soils.

Taste Profile: The wine displays and attractive red colour with layers. Bright colour. Clean powerful aromas of ripe red and black fruits with cacao and coffee bean notes. On the palate one finds spices, toasty hints and mature notes, with a perfectly integrated tannic structure. On the finish the wine is rich, elegant, powerful and fruit driven.

Winemaking Process: The wine is aged for 8 months in American oak barrels
