A charming bottle of premium Tokaji, from a region built for botrytis.
Grape Varietals & Region: A blend of 75% Furmint and 25% Hárslevelű from Tokaj, in the middle of Europe at the northern limits of viticulture. Late springs, hot summers and cold winters give way to warm autumn days and cold, misty nights — perfect conditions for botrytis. The south/southwest-facing land mixes brown earth and clay with andesite tuff, retaining heat well, while the nearby Zsadány stream provides the humidity botrytis needs to take hold.
Taste Profile: Pale medium amber colour. An intense bouquet of dried apricot, honey and meadow flower. A full-bodied Tokaji with a great balance of sweetness and acidity, showing complex, layered notes of butterscotch, dried apple, candied orange peel, clove, marzipan, lemon, cardamom and bread, closing on a long, enticing finish.
Winemaking Process: Individually selected botrytis-affected (aszú) berries are hand-harvested and worked into a paste, which is blended into the base wine and left to mature in barrel in Tokaj's cellars, allowing the sugars and acidity from the aszú berries to fully integrate before bottling.
Winemaker: Château Pajzos sits in the heart of Tokaj, one of Hungary's most storied wine regions, producing Aszú in the classical style that first made Tokaji famous across European courts.

We hate the disappointment of opening an off-drinking bottle of wine – as much as a kid seeing their scoop of ice cream fall to the ground (Yes, it hurts).
Simply contact us within 7 days of receiving your wines to let us know why you’re not satisfied and drop off the remaining unused wines back to us. The bottle will have to be at least 3/4 full and the same wine the bottle is in (duh).
Once we verify that the the wine was corked or damaged, we will process the refund.
