The wine-growing history of the Bocard family predates the certification of the Meursault appellation. Started in the 1920s, the farm began bottling its own wines in 1959. Today, it's run by the third generation of family winemakers

Domaine Guy Bocard Meursault Blanc Vieilles Vignes 2020

Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chardonnay, from a blend of plots, on the northern Meursault terroir: “Les Durots”, “En la barre”, “Les Malpoiriers” and “Les Dressoles”

Taste Profile: Pale gold in color, with aromas of white flowers & toasted brioche. Expressive attack, the Murisaltian aromas of white fruits and white flowers are accompanied by a melted woodiness. The vibrant acidity sculpts the mouth, balances the roundness of the wine, and stretches the finish.

Winemaking Process: 18 months, including 12 months in Burgundy barrels, then 6 months in stainless steel vats.

Buttery & Honeyed Whites

Full-bodied fruit and spice, often with the ability to age. This style usually relies on new oak to impart vanilla driven characteristics. Malolactic fermentation & on lees ageing also contributes to the texture
